Welcome to Ashleycats.  Located in central Virginia and named for my beloved first tortoiseshell, my small PKD-tested cattery* is home to solid, tabby, and particolor Persians who run free. Healthy and affectionate, my cats are registered with the Cat Fancier's Association (the CFA) and appear regularly in its shows.      Although I've only been showing them for several years, I've lived with cats most of my life.  And when I purchased my first Persian fifteen years ago, I was smitten with this breed. Easy to look at, easy to live with, and easy to please, the Persian is a precious gift.      I have been lucky to enjoy the friendship of many wonderful breeders who share my concern for the health, the happiness, and the display of these beautiful cats.  Included in the number of those who've generously shared their knowledge and their lines with me are Susan Daniels (Byhishands Persians), Joe and Mary Jo Garaux (Fanci FX),Cheryl Godfrey (Joymakers), Laura Lee (Whitman Persians), and Claudia Moore (Connaught).      In the pages that follow you'll meet many of the cats who've enriched my life over the years.
